Over 50 People Joined Meet & Greet at Good Tree Academy
As promised, Good Tree administration held a short, but informative Meet & Greet session on Thursday for prospective parents, supporters, and teaching candidates. The event held in Richardson at Good Tree’s Phase-1 campus was a delightful success with over fifty attendees. The welcoming environment provided guests an opportunity to mingle and inquire about the school over refreshments. Once in the formal session, Board Member Matthew Moes responded to questions about the uniqueness of the school with, “Every school says tarbiyah, but we feel more obliged to ensuring that is the focus of our instruction.”
Other visitors eagerly questioned the availability of seats, to which Annie Ghazi responded, “Our admissions process takes into account the child’s academic, developmental, and emotional readiness before determining their eligibility. We also believe that the type of schooling we’re providing should be a good fit for the child and vice versa.”
Wadud Hassan, who will join the administration at Good Tree, stated “This is just the beginning, but what a great beginning it is. To see such active parents, who no doubt appreciate the approach we’re offering, come and participate with such great anticipation for the launching of this school.”
Before ending the evening Good Tree administrators reminded their audience of the upcoming OPEN HOUSE on Thursday June 18h 2009, where more information and opportunity for enrollment will be offered. Candidates for teaching, especially in the fields of hifz and tajweed are also encouraged to attend this event. Good Tree Academy will be the first Muslim school to incorporate and implement student centered learning which helps in mastering each subject. Good Tree offers Hifz, Classical Arabic, Standard Subjects, Alim and Technology curriculum.
